Chiefs sign whole draft class, reportedly add G Osemele

The Kansas City Chiefs signed their entire draft class on Saturday and also reportedly made a big addition to the offensive line.Per multiple reports, the team signed former All-Pro guard Kelechi Osemele to a one-year deal. NFL Network reports the contract is worth a maximum of $2 million.Osemele, 31, was named first-team All-Pro in 2016 and made his second straight Pro Bowl appearance in 2017, both with the then-Oakland Raiders, but his play has slipped since while he’s battled injuries. Limited to 11 games in 2018, he played just three last season after being traded to the New York Jets.Osemele ultimately had shoulder surgery after a dispute with the Jets over whether or not he could play through the injury. He was released by New York in October. The Chiefs have an opening after right guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, who is working as an orderly in Canada, became the first NFL player to opt out of the 2020 season. Osemele has played exclusively left guard over the last several seasons.
