Chiefs S Berry (heel) questionable after missing practice

Needing a win Sunday against the Oakland Raiders to cement home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs, the Kansas City Chiefs are suddenly unsure about the status of Eric Berry. After being a full participant at the team’s practices on both Wednesday and Thursday this week, the five-time Pro Bowl safety was sidelined for all of Friday’s workout because of soreness in his left foot.Because of the sudden issues, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid listed Berry as questionable for Sunday, explaining after practice that the veteran’s foot and calf area were tender.”We’ll just see,” said Reid, per the Kansas City Star. “We backed off and we’ll see how he does.”Berry, who turns 30 on Saturday, has missed nearly all of the past two seasons recovering from a torn left Achilles suffered in the 2017 season opener. But Berry returned to play in the Chiefs’ last two games against the Los Angeles Chargers, when he played 30 snaps, and Seattle Seahawks, as he upped his snap total to 69.
