Mitch Holtus – Play By Play Announcer

mitchSince joining the team as the “Voice of the Chiefs Radio Network” in 1994, Mitch has established himself as one of the Midwest’s most recognizable and honored broadcasters.   There are only a small handful of announcers in the NFL who can top Mitch’s tenure doing play-by-play.  Before coming to pro football, Mitch spent 14 years as the voice of football and basketball for Kansas State University.   He’s also can be seen and heard on Fox Sports television coverage of Missouri Valley basketball and Gateway Conference football.  A native of Smith Center, Kansas, he’s a graduate of Kansas State.

 

Len Dawson – Color Analyst

lendLen Dawson is one of Kansas City’s sporting icons thanks in large part to leading the Chiefs to a Super Bowl IV victory over the Minnesota Vikings.  Len’s long AFL-NFL playing career was capped in 1987 with his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, just a few miles down the road from his hometown of Alliance.  He joined the Chiefs Radio Network in 1985 and has provided analysis of every game since then.  A graduate of Purdue University, Len began his broadcasting career while he was still playing and can still be seen handling sports duties for KMBC-TV Channel 9.

 

Kendall Gammon – Home Game Sideline reporter / Away Game Color Analyst

kendallThe newest member of the Chiefs broadcast team is a 15-year NFL veteran, including 7 years with the Chiefs. Gammon played in the 2004 Pro Bowl and in Super Bowl XXX. Kendall Gammon was the first true long snapper to ever be added to a Pro Bowl roster. Gammon’s brilliant career also included four years with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Super Bowl XXX against the Dallas Cowboys in Tempe, Arizona. In addition, he played four years with the New Orleans Saints.

 

 

Art Hains – Studio Anchor
arthArt brings more than thirty years of sports radio experience to game day, as he anchors the pre-game show, half time and in game reports as well as post game coverage for the entire Chiefs Radio Network. An award winning sportscaster and Missouri native Art’s experience includes hosting the Dallas Cowboys pre and post-game shows as well as being the “Voice of the Missouri State Bears” for almost 40 years.

 

 

Dan Israel – Executive Producer

Dan Israel is beginning his 26th season with the Chiefs Radio Network as pregame host and Executive Producer of the Chiefs Radio Network. He is a 30 year veteran of the broadcast and recording industries. During this time he has produced and engineered national programming for NBC-Universal, CBS, ABC Sports, ESPN, NFL Films, and HBO. Israel’s innovation and dedication and effort have help to make the Chiefs Radio Network the best in the NFL.

 

 

Dani Welniak – Away Game Sideline Reporter

Faith, family and football – that’s how Dani prioritizes her time. What inspired her path to sports broadcasting? Dani played women’s professional football for the Dallas Diamonds at receiver and running back for five seasons. She was a captain, a three-time Pro Bowler and 2008 Super Bowl Champion. Ask her to show you her championship ring sometime. It’s hard to miss. She was also a member of the first Women’s World Championship team that beat Canada in the gold medal game 69-0. Dani started her career in western Kansas as a bureau sports reporter for KWCH 12 before being promoted to Wichita in 2013 as a sports anchor/reporter. Her passion is to tell the athletes’ stories and take fans behind what happens off-the-field.
